After the minor accident, they kept telling me when I asked that they had enough drivers and didn’t need me. Now, I say “fired” because I wasn’t actually fired. I was not comfortable driving such large vehicles. Throughout this, i had said multiple times that I wasn’t ready to drive on my own or even as the main driver during training. Apparently, this was because it was my second accident in a week (I had scraped the side of a truck during training against a wall). I was finally “fired” into my third week for a minor traffic accident (it did absolutely no damage at all, beyond some paint scrape). Sliding doors were encouraged to be left open for speed and to keep the vehicle as cool as possible for employees. Any found defects were texted to our manager. As far as the scanners were concerned, there were no defects. I was outright told by my trainer that in order to avoid being checked by traffic safety people and asked if issues had been fixed, that we were not to put any found defects into our scanners. Leaving seashells unbuckled when in motion if not on the freeway or highway was encouraged for speed. I was forced to stand in the back of a moving truck when in neighborhoods during my training, to find boxes. I didn’t work there long, about two weeks, and the entire thing was a nightmare. So I was working at this company that delivered for a big government funded package delivery company.
